Why choose it

The advantages that really matter.

Thermally broken aluminium windows are the architectural choice for those seeking slim frames, large glazed areas and superior durability. LMT produces windows using the LMT Aluminium 70, 71, 91, 92 and 93 systems, combined with low-emissivity glass and certified hardware.

Slim profiles

Frames from 70 to 93 mm with a reduced visible surface: more glass, more light.

Durability

Aluminium is unalterable over time: it doesn't warp, rot, or require maintenance.

Large glazed areas

Large sliding doors and French windows are possible thanks to the material's structural rigidity.

Thermal break

An insulating polyamide bar interrupts the thermal bridge between inside and outside: Uw competitive with PVC.

Contemporary aesthetics

Anodised or powder-coated in any RAL colour, with stainless-steel-effect, corten or matt black finishes.

10-year warranty

On the profile, thermal break, hardware and paint finish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about aluminium windows.

How much does an aluminium window cost per m²?

Indicatively from 500 to 900 €/m² (made-to-measure supply) depending on profile, glazing, dimensions and finish. Aluminium typically costs 20-30% more than equivalent PVC for the same performance.

Does aluminium insulate as well as PVC?

With modern thermal breaks the gap has narrowed. A premium aluminium window with triple glazing achieves Uw values of 1.0-1.2 W/m²K, comparable to a good PVC window. PVC remains slightly better for the same price.

When is it better to choose aluminium instead of PVC?

When large glazed areas, wide sliding doors, or architectural design with slim frames are needed, or when PVC doesn't offer sufficient rigidity (e.g. very large French windows). Aluminium is also the choice for curtain wall facades and commercial projects.

Does aluminium corrode?

No, aluminium naturally develops a protective oxide layer. Qualicoat powder coating adds further protection and resists salt air and pollution for decades.

Can I have a different colour outside and inside the window?

Yes, aluminium can be two-tone (e.g. matt black outside, white inside) with no significant extra cost. Practically any RAL colour is available.

Can they be installed in cold climate zones?

Yes, modern thermal breaks guarantee adequate performance even in climate zones E and F. They can be combined with triple glazing for very cold areas.
